I've got no skin in this sue game, but as a functioning adult you've got to take responsibility for what you do. Opi-Mi woman, caused an accident, at the biggest cycle race in the world, caused injury to the cyclists she was supposedly there to watch, and will have to live with the consequences, and if that means some financial recompense is taken from her, then so be it.
Part of the joy of being at sporting events like the tour, is the closeness to the participants, but part of the unwritten contract you engage in is not to interfere with what's happening in front of you.
Yeah there may be unintended consequences from the ASO/UCI wanting to sue OPI woman, and spectators endangering/injuring cyclists in future, but I don't think that will stop them from trying.

    Anyway back to the racing..

  • Yes. But you've missed the point that if Didi the devil is ok, and the madness at some of the hairpins, etc and so on.

I don't think paying financially is the solution here. Or to a lot of "wheres the blame" stuff.

  • What about the spectators who were off the road but crashed in to during other incidents. Should they sue the riders or organisers or bodies?

Financial compensation might be appropriate but as stated before I think it’s an ugly first reaction.
