Trialing my setup for a weekend's bikepacking in the Lakes in a couple of weeks time. Will be my first time so wanted to gauge pace etc with the extra load.

Yes! Had a good ride out to the Mendips today, 7.5hrs in total and found some new bridleways.

Nice, you ride out from Bristol? Done a good amount of walking and road riding round there, yet to take the mtb.

Cheers, was quite the trip following Komoot’s suggestions, which let to some unrideable sections on the road bike from time to time. All-in, more than 8 hours in the saddle, a dirty bike and a sweaty arse. Perfect!
I actually planned a big trip yesterday as the forecast for today was terrible, woke up to clear skies and sunshine.... 🤌🏻

Gotcha, towards Udine.
I reckon anything north from Pordenone translates into amazing riding. Not been there myself.
Valdobbiadene is also a great area to ride, which is west of Pordenone.

Good luck, make sure you post plenty of pics,. That is something I have always wanted to do. Are you doing it with an organised group or solo?
