Front number fell off and I can’t re-attach. I’m waiting for a new one and have the old one on my dashboard so it’s at least visible. Will I get pulled over for this? Is having one in the post a good enough excuse?
Surprisingly little info on the dvla site
Will I get pulled over for this?
Probably not, plod is too busy ignoring far more egregious and dangerous motoring offences
Is having one in the post a good enough excuse?
Technically no, in practice it would take an especially bored and pedantic plod to give you even a producer.
It’s mainly the guns in my boot that I’m nervous about tbh.
So is the official line that if you lose a number plate, you can’t drive the car till you have a new one?
