It’s possible that no one who checks here has your answer.

If those cutting tools are in good shape then that’s a heck of a find for a job lot sale.

SRAM 1x11 hydraulic road lever is seeping dot fluid just under the hood cover . Decided to rebuild them. Have acquired reservoir and top cap spares. The other thing I can think of is banjo bolt O rings. But I can't find them as spares. Does this mean I have to buy whole new hose kits at like $65 a pop, or does anyone know O ring replacement parts?

Most likely the bladder is damaged or out of place and it's going through the vent hole. I'd try that before replacing banjos and hoses.

Does this mean my rim is broken or is that how they are built? Thanks

It's how they're built if they're pinned not welded. Rim is fine.

Phew, thanks!

Probably a silly question but would this 6 speed suntour be able to go on the same freehub as the 5 speed Shimano?

I think they're both 5 speed

An astute observation, I clearly can't count

Quicker to ask this on here maybe. Any mechanics out west-ish looking for work?

North West?

I think I almost fucking died today because of this bottom bracket. The NDS was unscrewing itself and I didn't notice. I was coming down a hill and when I get to the bottom I jump off the bike to take in the view. Not two steps later, my cranks completely seize up. The left side of the BB had unscrewed so much that it pushed against the left crank and caused it to lock in place. If that had happen 10 seconds earlier while I was going down that hill I'm pretty sure I'd be dead now.
I'm certain it's because I didn't torque it enough on the left side but any more and the spindle would seize. I think I'm done with Miche at this point.

New chainring, all nice and smooth again. Nice one.

Buy a lotto ticket mate. Glad you’re ok.

Glad you’re ok. Get a shimano unXX in there and burn the Miche.
Only it won’t burn coz shite ain’t flammable!

TBF I was never on board with your don't tighten it enough to not bind up method, you tighten it up properly and if it's binding up then something else is wrong. But glad you're OK.

Your gravel biker license is in jeopardy over that one : )

Serious suggestion- if you want another pair of experienced eyes to check it out, I’d be interested to put it in a frame to see what the issue was/is. I’ll give it back if you want it.

Definitely not my best idea, from now on even my shoelaces will be tightened to proper spec! Almost shit my pants when I realised what could have happened.
@Eseman thanks for the offer but me being in another country I think it'd be more trouble than it's worth! I've arranged to have it looked at by someone from a bike shop nearby who apparently really knows his bearings so hopefully I'll get to the bottom of this. Shimano UN seem to be sold out everywhere unfortunately so that means I won't be riding this frame for a while.
Am I posting in the wrong thread or what?
