Well @miro_o this turned out to be a slightly misleading review. What you should have added was:

Size small in both - Decathlon are tighter/more-compressive so Dan I know you are carrying a little holiday weight and struggling to shift it so why don't you go for a medium.

The Rapha Sonic bibs were fucking awesome but weren't what I needed. Would have kept if I wasn't broke from buying bibs that don't fit

I was joking! Swapped them for mediums and they bang, excellent recommendation at even better price point
