The blistering is only in the top of my feet, where the edges of the straps rub against it.
I'm thinking I'll try to break them in wearing a thin pair of socks to avoid blisters.
In the meantime I have developed a fondness for the looks of these from duckfeet. Vegetable tanned leather should develop a very beautiful patina over time, and they are easily resoleable!
