Interesting! I would take snails over slugs, much easier to pick up!
I just need something to stop the rabbits and deer now, they obliterated the first batch of beetroot.

japanese deer scarer as posted yesterday for birofunk. it goes clunk every 30 seconds or so.. you could probably make one..

We used last year, effective at dramatically reducing numbers (not eliminating). Possibly creates a species gap because this year we have loads of snails instead!
