Omar's finished. Peter Jackson should be in next for fourth place, then Garth Elson.

Nine riders have finished now. Lea Meszarosova and Tom Wick seem to be resting before the final push, 11 miles apart.

Lea has 116 miles to go and Tom Wick is nearly 30 miles behind her, so I imagine she should come in 10th.

I think I'll stop dot-watching after that.

I'd forgotten about him. What's the rule, though? Can you legitimately finish if you haven't been tracked for so long?

If you can provide evidence (ie. Garmin track) that you rode the route then it should be ok. Not sure how much Nathan cares. I remember one of the racers in the first one I did not happy about one of the Italians who disappeared for days and he reckons there's no way they moved ahead. But I can sympathise with tracker issues too, having sent one faulty Spot back for replacement myself.

Cheers, I forgot again that riders probably compile their own track on their GPS device. Let's see what happens.

So, Lea Meszarosova and Tom Wick arrived last night, in 10th and 11th or in 11th and 12th, depending on the verdict on Jani Simula.

Still lots of riders on the road, but I'll stop paying attention to this now. The next race to dot-watch beckons. :)

Few days until this kicks off. Evan is racing again, a few other familiar names also. Thomas Camero of course.

Watching Mateo Ramos - strong local rider. I think he entered in 2014 too.

Watchng Kraig Pauli - he had a good run a few years back.

Evan would have to shave a day off his PB to challenge Abdullah's record from 2019 (16d 9h 56m). I hope he's in the shape/mood to try for it. Not much on social media yet, i.e pictures of bike etc.
