Putting pressure on over the top does seem to be a good strategy against Ineos. It often causes at least one of their GC riders to crash.

GT was hinting at distaste for people attacking on descents on his latest podcast... wonder why

Cav 2nd today (Tim Merlier won) in Elfstedenronde in Flanders, in the interview he says he's happy to be in the DQS 'A-team' today and announces there will be talks with Lefevere about his short and long term goals.

The race typically falls after Paris-Roubaix so whilst fitting in the mould of the Spring Classics, falls outside what's typically considered the season...by that stage people's attentions have often switched to the Ardennes Classics and stage racing.

Also a 1.Pro instead of WT, so fewer UCI points, if any riders even care.

Did you know...
Fabio Aru was racing in this year's Critérium de Dauphiné?
I do now, having looked at the Top 30. I didn't before, having watched at least the highlights of every stage.

Wow. This is news to me too. He wasn't mentioned once and I can't remember having seen him...

On another note, what happened to the investigation about the Quintanas?
I've tried looking it up but there's nothing about them since the original police investigation at the Tour. Is he just riding as normal (ie, below par) until he is charged with something? Could he in theory continue competing even if he was found guilty of a criminal offence, if there were no adverse test and he continued to insist on his innocence?
