Potted up some chillis and tomatoes. Still have to find homes for at least another 10 tomato plants 😅

I just found some ladybird larvae and set them to work on our bigger chilli plants. Plenty to keep them occupied there

Anyone used any of the vertical plant wall type products? Looking for recommendations.

Never mind that it's small, that is a really lovely garden.

The floral displays on this thread are amazing, thank you everyone for sharing your hard work, all very inspirational. It’ll be several years before my garden is established, but I am so pleased that I managed to get it cleared in the second year at this house. Pyracantha planted across the back to add level of security and future habitat for nesting birds if neighbours don’t kick ball against the fence.

Moved some gravel and patio yesterday. This morning I feel like I rode the trail centre on a rigid single speed. Ugh.
In other news is this the place to ask about lawns? I'm looking at getting 'species rich' turf to lay in our garden to be played on by kids but also to cater to bees etc better than our gravel pit currently does. Anyone got any experience with it?

geums
Stunning, what I wished ours looked like! We planted some Orange Queen plugs last year to go with our alliums but they haven’t done well and then saw some established Totally Tangerine at our farm shop and couldn’t resist, I’ll plant them out today even if they haven’t got long left…
@brokenbetty love seeing your garden too, very nice use of the space.

Funny you should go that way. I was looking at a pallet last night and thinking they could be maybe be used, minus every 2nd slat.

Cheers! This is their second year, I don't remember them looking as well last year. Your alliums look great, think I need to add some to my border!

Not sure this counts as gardening, but today was spent with two of my brothers preparing 1500 square metres of land for seed. We have the worst clay soil full of flint stones, so doing anything with it is a nightmare, but with the borrowing of a stone burier and a power rake we have finally got it to a decent state and taken out a fair few stones on the way…

Another cut to bring down the more established grass (which had grown about 6 inches in the last week!!!) and let the newer grass get a bit of light. The patch magic patches have germinated and are an inch tall already. This weather is mad for grass.

Are you grassing it? Would make a great meadow.

Will be grassed with random seeds thrown in, most of the use will be used by my daughter so more for sports etc. We have another area already cordoned off for wildflowers etc as well

I think it's more like terraforming. :)

Also pleased to see that my efforts to bring the black elder tree back to life look to be working.
The Ceanothus seems to have also come into much better bloom this week. Could it just be late? I removed some weeds and a number of hazels from around it last weekend.

Think these are foxgloves? Sutton's apricot?
Love it! Brilliant use of the space. Quite a contrast between you and the neighbours!
