You will never be in a high speed chase, learn how to set points and keep them lubbed and watch heel wear...or get a dwell meter/ dwellometer. Oh and have a multi meter in the car, to check for electrical issues.
Keep a decent quality brand dizzy cap, distributer arm, couple sets of points, and a few condensors. Keep two points and condensors in the landie and somewhere where they won't rattle around as that just makes a really annoying noise. This will keep the the magic smoke inside stuff.
Learn where all the grease nipples are and get a decent grease gun with a long clip on flexi for all the correct greases.
Oh and I would recommend fitting a removable key isolator switch in a hidden place either like this battery isolator switch removable standard key or Durite keyed battery isolator Also fit a unconnected switch on the dashboard to fool thieves.

Brilliant. Enjoy all the smiles. Lots of help on line if you need it. I’ve got no mechanical skills but been able to fix 50% of things myself, very cheaply.
