That's great to hear. I'm planning on riding the Pyranees, looking forwaed to that even more now. From my epxerience Spanish and Italian motorists are sublime towards cyclists. French are horrible, but us Dutch are the worst. We have very little experience with sharing the road with cyclists. Mallorca is heaven, as the whole island seems to be into cycling and the local tourism is 80% bike tourists. Most Canaries are also very nice although Tenerife has too many British driving up to the volcano like maniacs.
Pyranees motorists are by far the most accepting of cyclists in my experience - have been cheered on by random passing motorists on long climbs many times!.... Mostly from the wound down window of a knackered old Fiat Panda.
