I did end up watching 5 mins of highlights of the end. I'd hoped the catch was a last minute one so was a bit underwhelmed.

His regulation of who got in the break was quite forceful

I can't find anything online, but they did just show a clip on Eurosport/GCN. Basically he pulled alongside a rider from Bardiani who was trying to get in the breakaway once it was already established, and was apparently having 'a word' with him.

Tactics I guess but doesn't feel as honourable as other parts of cycling

Yeah, I obviously don't know what went down, but that does sound like an overly negative tactic - Dowsett got in trouble for explaining how they do it and moaning when someone didn't follow the "rules" a few weeks back.

Seems odd that the break got such a big lead considering UAE and ISN should have been interested in the chase. They are both nowhere on GC so with just mountains and TT to come, why didn't they get to work yesterday?
