  • Interesting you think that - a lot of the best CoD/Warzone players use PC+controller as they get the best of both worlds (better graphic/FoV benefits plus controller aim assist).

I play on PlayStation (controller) but started on PC (mouse & keyboard) - I have to admit I'd struggle to go back to mouse & keyboard now, whilst the aiming is obviously easier with a mouse, I'd find keyboard too limiting for the movement I think.

  • Aim assist might make you more competitive but I'd argue it's not better from a gaming perspective.

Agree regarding movement being relatively clunky with a keyboard though. For years I'd thought it would be great to have a keyboard with analogue WASD keys. Just discovered it exists...

  • Oh yeah - it's not better but if you're good at abusing it it can really give you a benefit if you're playing for kills. The whole no-scoping in CoD4 and quick scoping in every other installment were super annoying but showed it's strength.

That does make sense they've made one!

  • I think I'm enjoying Snowrunner, but I'm not really sure. I like the concept and the 'missions' setup and things, but it just seems to be frustrating in the wrong way sometimes. I get that it's about offroading and stuff, but for me they've almost rammed in too much mud track in places that it just doesn't seem to make sense. There is a brief bit of tarmac road to a major location like a warehouse, but it turns to mud for most of the route until the entrance which is tarmac again. Maybe as I advance through and do the missions to unblock some of the roads it becomes possible to travel around the map on tarmac more, or maybe this is just what Michigan is really like, but I'd personally rather it was tarmac main roads to get to the resource locations, then you have to pull off the road and greenlane up to the drop point. Will persevere with it though as it is good fun other than that gripe I have with it. Could be that the 'story' element of the flooding and stuff will alter the map once missions are completed additional to the roadblocks clearing, but I doubt it.

  • Looks like an excellent co-op game, played Mudrunner (and might pick up Snowrunner on Switch) and enjoyed it, but definitely felt like co-op would add a lot!

  • Yeah definitely, you can jump around your vehicles so if you're stuck can drive another one over to tow it out, but on co-op I imagine this would be a lot more fluid and intuitive. Unfortunately it doesn't work with crossplay as my brother has it on PC I think and me on Xbox, we would probably love playing it online together but it's a no go.

  • Forget about tarmac in this game. I have played it a lot last year and it gets only worse in later maps.
Once you have enough money for multiple off road trucks you can pull a second one along with the winch and use it to help yourself out of tricky situations.
It's like a strategy game and the landscape is your enemy.
There are some maps that don't have a garage and are only accessible by driving across another whole map so you need a whole convoy of support vehicles.

  • anyone else getting real laggy games of apex since the last hot fix? not sure if it's my internet but my ping is spiking to 300ms regularly today

had a fun game earlier where the last two squads were us (a duo) and a solo wraith. culminated in us dropping everything (shields, weapons etc) and boxing it out

  • Played between 11:30am and 4pm and all worked as usual for me.

Actually managed to get 7 win streak (all time best) and won 14 games in total with my team.

  • hmmmm thanks - will reboot my router. apols for not accepting your invite - was actually working today (and skiving on apex) so thought I best not start any games I couldn't just immediately dip out of

  • Just spent 30 mins watching this count down and reset to 30 seconds. Then suddenly the page refreshed and let me buy a PS5. Really didn't expect that to happen.

Still not exactly sure why I want one right now, but a worthy exclusive will come along sooner or later.

  • With just a still I feel you miss the Daniel Day Lewis / last of the Mohicans vibe of the situation.

I would also note that you had crashed and couldn't get back into play and were consequently fair game on the proving ground.

  • Wait, are you suggesting that Vesalius *wasn't* involved?

  • Nice, I bought a PS5 based on hype and the challenge of getting one.

    Buy Demon's Souls.

  • Reviews are in and they haven’t been kind to biomutant

Off the back of the bad buzz, I’ve started to irrationally fear for sifu!

  • They seem a mixed bag but leaning towards the negative. It feels a little unfair treating it as if it's a AAA game when it was made by 20 people and if the first by a newly formed studio.

  • Took an instant dislike to Dark Souls on the PC back in the day cos of its dreadful UI and have never managed to look beyond that.

Probably do Returnal, and maybe Resident Evil cos apparently the PC port is a bit crap.

  • The PC port of Dark Souls was awful. Demon's Souls is glorious, although the hard game style isn't for everyone.

  • Think people who know are taking the size of the team into account, despite the full boat price tag for the game, but it’s also a case of the shiny footage being more impressive than the actual combat gameplay and RPG elements. Overpromising and under delivering.
This is the other review I’ve seen from fighting cowboy, who posted this up before he posted up his let’s play series, to explain why he was so upset/disappointed in the game..

  • skipping around that video quickly it looks like a better graphics zelda.

  • Graphics are the worst part of Zelda so that would make the game fantastic.

  • Homefront (Timesplitters 2 HD with a bunch of padding) on sale for £3-4 on Steam at the moment

  • So they spunked all the budget on graphics and forgot about what made Zelda good.

I have no time for this 'small team' justification when they're charging AAA prices. £55 on Steam!
