  • From bicyclerollingresistance “ We find the results of this version of the G-One Allround shocking.
It looks like quality control at Schwalbe just isn't up to par anymore. The latest version of the G-One Allround is slower than the G-One Ultrabite, which just doesn't make sense.

  • Does this match your experience of them? Or are you just getting rid of them based on that review?

I take those rolling resistance tests with a massive heap of salt but other people seem to put a lot of trust in them. Curious to hear thoughts from forumers?

@apc I like GK SKs in 43mm, they feel surprisingly fast to me. Some other forumites don't like them (maybe @hippy ?) Bicycle rolling resistance man thinks they're good IIRC.

  • I raced GK SK+ tyres at Badlands in 700x50mm form. I had 0 issues with them other than an initial failure due to a bike shop's shoddy taping job (after my multiple attempts with Tesa failed to hold air to begin with).

They're quite a supple tyre so I would expect them to be quite fast, if a little trickier to get sealed.

  • Think I’ve done around 500 miles on them, they just seem to suck the life/ joy out of any ride whether off road or tarmac. No issues with durability or puncture fears with them though.

Had GK SKs a while ago but sold the bike so will probably go back to those next time
