Can’t tell if all the Ineos wheel chat is troll content or not. If it was, excuse the following dross. It’s fairly well known that they use the Lightweight wheels for climbing stages only as they are, quelle surprise, lightweight but have a fairly old fashioned V profile that isn’t as aero. The DA wheels (wide and more U profiled) are used on flatter stages – and yesterday implies the DA rims have a better braking surface, too, which isn’t surprising as Shimano can optimise rim and block together. It was noted from the beginning of the stage that they were on DA wheels yesterday.
That descending footage was very cool. Bernal is going up and up in my books.
