I'm looking into regulating my SKX013 myself as the movement upgrade is on hold pending funds.
From what I've read it seems like it would be worth first getting some sort of audio recording app to measure how out it is first. This blog suggests Audacity. Anyone have any other suggestions? Maybe smartphone based?
What is a good amount of time to record it for? And does anyone else have any other tips asides from making incredibly small increments?

. I specifically requested for the scratches to be left alone, since they were made by my late dad.
This is lovely to hear. Great to hear you keeping them.
And lovely watch!

That Fortis is cracking. Good job looking after it.

Anyone used chrono24 before? They have the watch i want listed for the best price but not sure if its much better than ebay.

That fortis is excellent.

It works, if the seller isn't an established shop I would be extra careful though.

Thanks he's a uk based established trader but going to try and find more. I suspect any EU sellers on there mean you could end up with a big tax bill on delivery. I'll report back if i use them

Lots of fakes, frankens and non-original parts watches on Chrono that are not advertised as so. Be wary, if it's too good to be true it probably isn't, buy the seller, etc. Link to the watch?

Sorry i can seem to post working links from my phone but this is the watch and the seller. He appears to be a shop with excellent feedback

I've been on the shop website and have the watch listed for £925 so I'll message him through chrono24 and see what he says

1082 reviews and listed as a dealer? I'd order without hesitation, personally.

Just heard back and the one on sale has sold but they are checking Victorinox for stock for me and seeing what they can do on price. This seller is a shop so absolutely should be fine 🤞 i don't why i got nervous buying a watch online when i regularly spend way more than that on bike parts online without thinking twice. Although they do have at least 2 for sale listings for this watch which they currently don't have in stock and haven't confirmed availability yet.

Same, wouldn't think twice if they are a dealer with a history and genuine reviews.

Any recommendations for getting a dial change? I love my Hamilton Field Mechanical in every way apart from the dial (not least the comic-sans-alike typeface). Seeing all the Seiko mods got me thinking that switching out a dial can't be that difficult to arrange. Absolutely no intention of doing it myself, but I assume there must be some people out there that offer this service?

Great watch. I had one before it got stolen. That looks neat. Carbon fibre?
(I should probably look to replace it sometime)

The Victorinox is forged Carbon yeah
As if i haven't got enough Carbon fibre in my life already 😂 -

Make sure the warranty is filled in proper like , I had problems with Victorinox automatics when we sold them , and tried to sell a Mondaine automatic on Saturday ( victorinox sister brand ) and it was faulty in stock , so phoned our other store that sells Mondaine to get theirs and they had sent that one back as faulty as well.

Looks great and glad that the servicing went well. Money well spent. The 24hr scale is cool (and I love that sausagey lume!) although not sure my brain could cope with it and I'd end up being hours late for everything :)

The quartz one is bullet proof mind you . when they launched the INOX they made a big thing of them being run over and set on fire and falling from balloons etc , so when the rep came to visit I took his off his wrist and we tied it to a brick and threw it out an upstairs window and filmed it for our website.
It survived . -
