Yeah you posted that earlier. Like I said, all available and authorised. Just not available on the Hunt website

PS just buy Hopes. Speak to your LBS, I ordered various sets of hubs last week and they all arrived within a few days
-
• #19429
That'll depend a lot on what you ordered, I think hope are currently saying 12 weeks lead time for hubs, up from 2 recently, but obviously some things will be in stock.
-
• #19430
You can get a pair of very light novatecs from AliExpress for less than a single Hope.

They look just what I’m looking for, ugly as hell, but with such a wide bar the flat drop looks super comfy.

Not out of the way on price either.

Sorry I took your reply as snark.

Hey what's the Gravel to tarmac percentage on that Tayside ride? Looking for more routes away from Aberfoyle.
-
• #19434
This had plenty of gravel, cycle path and road for getting from Fife to Dundee and back. Probably 60 road / 40 gravel. Could add more gravel but that meant more climbing and I was knackered.
-
• #19435
Nice, cheers. Mad what loops you can work out, been to parts around Fife/Clackmannan I never knew existed after 33 year.
-
• #19436
Soz that's my natural demeanour :-/
-
• #19437
I have it on good authority that Hope Green is reserved solely for staff. So, I think you know what you have to do.
-
• #19438
They look like Genetic Digests. I had them on my Macho Man for a while, it looked like I was pushing a wheelbarrow from the back.
-
• #19439
Just Riding Along? (Better than Hunt).
-
• #19440
I don't understand why they chose that name for a bike brand. The connotations just scream 'inexplicable catastrophic failure'. Or worse 'If it fails, it was probably your fault'. Either way, why reference failure in your brand name?
-
• #19441
I’ve had three sets of Hunts, two in current use, and they’re the only wheels I’ve done serious distance on without destroying shrugs
One does hear some stories about shit failing, so I guess QC isn’t as good as it could be but every brand/product has a shitty failure story somewhere. Except Chris king of course
-
• #19442
Look like a good option but yeah that name is lammmmmmmeeeeeeee.
-
• #19443
Not necessarily the name I'd have picked, but the BS warranty claim acronym ("I was JRA when my hanger broke") is a bit of a joke amongst bike shop employees, I'm not sure the general public is necessarily aware of it and the people who do know would see the humour in it?

Think they're all using the same handlebar from Satori/HL:

The Genetic and the Tout’s probably the same bars with a 21’ flare, but the Boondocks are even more flared at 30’. Maybe a step too far…

Which is exactly my issue with the name. It's an in joke which points fun at the consumer. That's a narrow market you're aiming at there. Basically someone who doesn't care about a brand's perceived quality and is happy to call themselves an idiot.

• #19447
Always thought there was something off about Hope, no green hubs, what are they playing at
-
• #19448
Would buy
Seems you have to get a job at Hope or become a sponsored athlete
-
• #19449
They'll do some green components if you buy an HB too. Money talks.
-
• #19450
if you buy an HB
Pretty much the only carbon bike I'd consider.
@amey - what's going on with these handlebars?
