Nah, think he was just rightfully cautious on that descent. Couldn't win the Giro there but could 100% lose it. It was on the chasers to take mad risks to eek out seconds, not him.

Erm, I was being sarcastic, Bernal lost bugger all because of his brakes, just a handful of seconds because of his (entirely sensible) caution. I was pointing out that the huge superiority of disc brakes appears to be less humongous than we have been led to expect.

Disc brakes are infinitely superior to rim brakes, which is why Bernal lost 2 mins on the final descent: discuss.
To be honest, they probably use them to get lardy Pinarellos down to weight....
