Have you been given a date for the second dose, or just going off recommended weeks between? I was told on Wednesday that the timing of the second appointment is constantly changing based on lots of factors so it may well be outside of your expected window. You can also reschedule whatever date you are given

I’ve booked both, as that seemed the best starting point given Canada is an uncertainty. Just wondering on people’s experiences with getting the second later or ideally earlier if need be I guess.

My wife has a medical history that might be an issue around clotting. Neither her/our GP or a school friend who is now a consultant hematologist were able to say anything definitive either way. GP wasn't able or willing to arrange a non-AZ jab. She used the book both slots at the same time and make sure the choice of second venues is much smaller thing and went for the Business Design Centre and got Moderna so is happy.

GSTT haematologist & med director of thrombosis UK says AZ is ok

"if you have certain rare blood clotting yada... discuss with specialist"
A doctor friend of mine said
"Pfizer might also be the best immunization option for you and Oxford-AZ the worst. Moderna might be as good as Pfizer but it seems like we have the most data on Pfizer. Please discuss your immunization options with your hematologist. This is very important because maybe they can do a special set-up for you to get Pfizer including the second dose 3 weeks after the first. In the US Moderna second jab is 28 days after the first."
But I can imagine GPs and NHS just going "you get this or nothing"

Thanks.
She's also a "crazed cyclist" so she's definitely right. :)

Check up on Canada rules. Some countries don't require a 2nd jab. Some EU countries are saying that 22 days after 1st jab is enough to be considered vaccinated.
-

Sorry, maybe I wasn’t clear, it’s more about getting the 2nd jab, if I travel to Canada which would need to be during school holidays.

Jabbed. Croydon Centrale Shopping Centre and only had Pfizer today.

Jabbed. Croydon Centrale Shopping Centre
Did you see their faces? Could you ID them in a lineup? Did they only take your wallet or are you reporting any other losses?

Sign at the CVH indicates over 64000 people have been vaccinated.
(Didn't see any details of 1st or 2nd jabs). -

Pretty sure the window is like 21 days to 11 weeks, so you should be able to reschedule somewhere in that time.

Ok excellent

EU is discussing how one shot vaccine after PCR proved infection is not going on the free EU travel pass app as immunity is same as two shot vaccine who are going on the EU travel pass app. Concentrate on visiting family and forget shot two for the moment?

A friend of mine had her first jab in the US and managed to get her second jab from the NHS after making a few phone calls. No idea if Canada would be so obliging.

South London, <35, no allergies or pre-existing physical conditions (don’t think cptsd qualifies?), not an essential worker, just received this message. Guess the rollout is going well.

It's kind of a shame they don't have one of those queue sites.
There are 32,133,123 people ahead of you in the queue. Last updated 5 minutes ago.

Anyone know if the record of your vaccination appears immediately on your NHS app? We're due to see my wife's family in Spain in August and her second one is one day before we travel and is on a Sunday, so time couldn't be tighter. I only downloaded the app today and my second one was last month so both of mine show up obviously; I feel like it should be pretty swift as the GP seemed to know straight away for me.

Had my first this morning and nothing in the app yet.
-
• #521
Was about 24 hours for me.
I read something earlier that sez a single dose is good enough for some countries, but no doubt the rules will change a dozen times between now and August.

Mine appeared 24 hours after receiving the jab.
I think you are also depending on the Spanish government allowing visitors from the UK which I don't think they currently do. At the moment its only EU and Shengen allowed in I think.
I can't find the details for Spain but I understand several EU countries don't require the 2nd jab for a person to be considered vaccinated. The require 1st jab plus a certain number of elapsed days. Hopefully in your case, Spain is one of them.

Isn't the news saying Spain don't need nothin from Brits? Long as you're not on a ventilator you're in.
-
• #524
The Spanish government's web presence is one of the worst I've ever seen in terms of finding information so I think the news might be your best source!

Austria, where I'm hoping to travel to with work are letting you in after 22 days from first jab but that's only valid for 3 months.
Anyone with pre-existing blood clotting issues been told to go for one or the other vaccine?
NHS just says something like "you should probably chat to your doc about it" which is obvious but wondering if anyone has been told anything either way.
