I understand the risks involved but my employer piles on the work. I’ve been put in a difficult position because of redundancies last year where three experienced staff left leaving me as the only one with the necessary experience.
I managed to get a week off now and have been trying to take a break but calls and emails etc still persist and I’m the only one who has the answers (and that’s not an exaggeration). Difficult times for all.
My (ex) business partner was awful for working late. He would be there at all hours with clients, papers piled up, getting home at 10pm and then having dinner, wouldn't go for a walk during the day, lunch a pack lunch sandwich and a kitkat at his desk, felt that everything would collapse without him there at all times. I will leave it up to you as to whether he was efficiently delegating and/or using his time.
Anyway he had a stroke and hasnt been in for the last year.
I am bad for it as well but we need to make time for health, exercise, relaxation, family. otherwise whats the point?
