  • Err, no

  • Ha, a wiggle and it's working. Sigh,

  • So you WERE pressing the eject button

    Doh

  • Hah! Guess the mechanism had come loose, just relieved it's OK now

  • I can confirm it is a very dire time for your graphics card to give up. . .

Was just firing up Stellaris, hadn't even loaded into the game proper and my pc froze up and now doesn't see the graphics card. There's basically no chance of a replacement card this side of summer, right?

  • Depends how much you want to pay £1k for a used 1080

  • It's actually kind of mad how you really can't get anything at all - I'd only be replacing an R9 380, but there's actually nothing out there. Oh well, back to the Switch I guess.

Did any of you play the streaming version of Control that came out for Switch? I had been meaning to play that at some point.

  • It's sad that I've sort of considered buying a full pc and I guess trying to sell off the bits I don't need - but presumably the second hand market for everything else is pretty limited by the fact no-one can buy a graphics card

  • I nearly bought the Resident Evil 7+8 bundle on PSN, then noticed I have 7 in my library already (PS+ a while back, it seems)

Giving 7 a go, will pick up 8 at a later date.

How are you getting on with 7, @Vesalius?
I've barely started and am shitting myself, even when nothing is happening!

  • Subnautica xbox x/s and ps5 free upgrade out, 60fps and hopefully the pop-in is fixed? If so, i think i'll run through it again - such a good game.

  • I've barely started and am shitting myself, even when nothing is happening!

    Very much this :')
I say to myself I love scary games/films and then I play them and absolutely shit my pants.

Similar story with alien: isolation. Great game, terrifying.

Am enjoying it though, have been busy so haven't played past couple nights but I've just reached the "old house"

  • I had a pre-order with Shadow before getting the Xbox, the waiting time was something like 6 months so never got to try it out.

  • Looks to just be massive speculation following a Sega presentation about their fiscal year, but possible remasters, reboots and remakes of some classics.

    https://www.ign.com/articles/sega-considering-crazy-taxi-jet-set-radio-reboots-and-working-on-a-super-game

  • I have always wanted to play Jet Set Radio, I must grab a ROM and have a go!

  • Jet Set Radio is great. Jet Set Radio Future is even better in my eyes. There was a remastered port of Jet Set Radio in 2012 for most platforms that were around then. So it’s available on PC and Mac as well as 360 and PS3 as well as some others I think. The 360 version is backwards compatible on Xbox One so likely on Series S/X as well. Jet Set Radio Future was backwards compatible on 360 as well so I imagine it will work on all the consoles too, but the frame rate tanks in the later levels when there’s big enemy battles or big areas.

  • I was sure Jet Set Radio was on the Switch, but must've been getting it confused for the Vita version.
I would love a Crazy Taxi remaster, but I'd be surprised if the licensing got agreed so you'd still be sliding your way to the nearest Levis store while listening to The Offspring. The original still plays pretty well on the PC to be fair.

  • Not sure if this is common knowledge or not, but I recently found out that you can play all (well, all the single-player anyway) of TimeSplitters 2 as an easter egg in Homefront: The Revolution. The vanilla easter egg is just the first two levels but there's a button-combo you can enter to unlock all story and arcade missions from the original game (but in HD + widescreen). Looks like it regularly goes for around £3-4 on Steam so I'll waiting for that one!

  • wireless headset seems good so far and apparently my comms are a lot clearer - wish the mic monitoring was stronger tho

  • Saw this on a YouTube vid yesterday about best Easter eggs, apparently to do with licensing wrt releasing an hd remaster

  • Resident Evil Village is great

They were discussing it on Radio4 the other day and the reviewer said it was scary but had one particularly terrifying segment.

And holy shit I found it today...

If I was playing solo I probably would have noped out of the game for the evening but was streaming on discord which helped share the fear out

  • I think I'm near the end of the game now. I'm in Heisenberg's factory. I really like how it's not just a one note horror game but has some shooting bits, some exploring, some puzzle.

  • Yeah but is it the TS2 experience if you're not trying to break all the windows in Notre Dam in an impossibly short time, or fight a million hands to the death in a casino?

  • I can imagine it being a bit of a mess trying to get the devs & publishers together (I think THQ currently hold the rights to the franchise?), but I'm surprised they were allowed to put it in there in the first place! Very happy, but quite surprised!

  • TS2 is still my only experience of using (or even seeing for that matter) a multitap in real life.
