Hard to see from your lovely pic but I'm guessing it connects to the flush button as that's usually the only purpose for a small blue plastic tube in a cistern.

It's a screen shot from a video. The best I can do at the moment, there's only a small access hatch and that's not even in line with the cistern.
The tube is connected to the flush button (the one on the wall) it's just that I can't see where it's supposed to connect within the cistern to flush.

My GF has managed to break our toilet this morning! Does anybody know where the blue tube is supposed to go? I’m guessing it’s meant to have a home or connect to something, as it was loose?
