On the subject of shelving after looking at a lot of options we coughed up for some of the Ikea Bror stuff, being powder coated steel they aren't the cheapest but there's a chance they'll last.
Also, @Señor_Bear looking back at your bookshelves. The images for the bracket seem to show a lip that would limit the depth of the shelf, but in the photo you shared your shelf seems to extend beyond the bracket?
Boring myself now but does anyone have a sweet understairs shelving setup they'd like to share?
