Yeah, but if you sit there using it for 8 hours a day then it’s quickly not so bad.
Indeed. But yeah.
I've also really enjoyed Microsoft mice in the past, but upgraded to the Logi when the MS wired mouse wore out, and it's been a revelation.
It as @Acliff who recommended it and helped me get one for £65, so thanks for that Acliff!

I quite like the look of this mouse - razer x human scale...https://www.razer.com/gb-en/gaming-mice/Razer-Pro-Click/RZ01-02990100-R3M1?gclid=Cj0KCQjw4ImEBhDFARIsAGOTMj9Elo9oNn-alIEi-9eSyivmg_RxhuXhQp80UUChejd6coUXkhgbD0oaAoTWEALw_wcB

Ordered ms_com a single, gas arm adjustable monitor mount from Vonhaus. Paid for next day shipping, didn't turn up, notified them, they sent another, original one then also turned up. They haven't asked for the additional one back. Anyone want it for £20? Would need to be collected from CR7.

That looks great! So much desk space!

Yeah, it is a 3.6m long lump of oak worktop... weighs an absolute tonne!

Nice, mine is pretty much done now.
Have to swap my laptop in/out of the room quite often (Mrs GB uses the room/desk more than me now that I'm not working) so I don't bother trussing it up in the cargo net down the side. Should also remove that HDMI cable as it was just being used to get my ESXi server working again.

What I wish I has was an embedded wireless charging point , annoyingly I could have had one put in when I first got the worktop, but didn't go for it, and not sure I am brave\skilled enough to install one myself.

Super easy to route a hidden one in. I did it on my Ikea bedside table. Just measure the depth, take 3-5mm off of that and set your router depth. Draw a template underneath and that's it.
-
• #1762
Yeah, my routing skills aren’t great, and going through extra thick oak makes me think I may screw it up… I have a list of jobs for a chippy at some point, so might add it to the list!

Rout[e] it out of the top, including a meandering line for the wire, pop in a wireless charger and then fill with clear resin/epoxy to make a 'feature' river table.

Honestly, it's super easy.
It doesn't need to be that neat as it'll be hidden. Mine is secured in the routed channel with hot glue.
The only thing I would say is make sure you don't attempt it in one pass - route out the template in at least two, maybe three goes.

Any large monitor recommendations?
Want to try larger single screen, I think two screens is giving me some back pain. -

The one above in my picture is an Acer DM431K. £450-ish.
43" 4K monitor (60Hz max). 1 DP input (that can do 4K@60Hz). 3 HDMI inputs (only one can do 60Hz but all can do 4K). Picture-in-Picture and Picture-By-Picture. Remote for quickly flicking between screens and setups.
I have it mounted on a separate arm (that does VESA 200x200). It's about 6" higher than it would be normally on the little legs it comes with.
I considered a 4K ultra widescreen but wanted 16:9 aspect for proper height to keep pixel size sensible (otherwise I'd end up having to scale things to make them readable, which makes the extra resolution a bit pointless).
The pixel size of the monitor above is pretty much the same as sitting in-front of 4 ~21" 1920x1080 monitors with no bezels. I found 1920 too wide for a single window but 960 was too small (so I couldn't have two windows side by side per 1920 monitor). With a single 4K monitor I can have three windows across the monitor without having to worry about bezels in the middle.

I tried 4k and didn't like it - can't run any games at that res and needed scaling on work laptop which negated the increased res for multiple docs etc
Imo a 34 inch ultra wide is a good size. Phillips do some good value ones as do gigabyte

I was looking at 34/38 ultra wides. The gtx3060 I’m getting might have a chance at driving it for gaming as well.

I love my 49 inch….
-
• #1770
I would like to try one at some point, its the same screen real estate as my 2 x 25 inch.
Which brand did you get? -
• #1771
I replaced two 27inch and it replaces them perfectly, I got Samsung LC49RG90SSUXEN 49"

• #1772
i have a fairly old rx570 and it runs at this res reasonable well tbh, your 3060 should be fine

I'll go back for one day a week. NO MORE!
Yeah, but if you sit there using it for 8 hours a day then it’s quickly not so bad.
I also have an MX Master 2
