• Cheers. It's slow going. Either weather, childcare or ennui gets in the way. The ivy roots are a massive pain in the dick also. Have built up another heap so the next time I can get out I'll be doing a ton of shredding. But I don't know when that will be.

  • It's unbelievable how much roots of things there are.

    When I've been doing lawn digging, I can't be sure which are ivy roots, bramble roots, bindweed roots or ash tree roots. The only ones I am sure about are nettle roots as they are bright yellow.

  • I've only got bramble and ivy, thanks fuck, so have become intimately familiar with either. The bramble have a reddish tinge to them, are more brittle and usually converge on a gnarly, tuber type mass. The ivy has less of a taper and pulls like a cable. Which made it all the more exciting when I found and actual cable and went at it with the fork.
