Cheers. It's slow going. Either weather, childcare or ennui gets in the way. The ivy roots are a massive pain in the dick also. Have built up another heap so the next time I can get out I'll be doing a ton of shredding. But I don't know when that will be.

It's unbelievable how much roots of things there are.

When I've been doing lawn digging, I can't be sure which are ivy roots, bramble roots, bindweed roots or ash tree roots. The only ones I am sure about are nettle roots as they are bright yellow.
