Just watched Rocketman. I enjoyed it. I was especially impressed by Dexter Fletcher's direction. It really added a lot to the movie.

Oops, Eddie the Eagle as well! He’d been off my radar since Caravaggio.

Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar
There's fucking songs, song I can forgive but now there's another and I'm mildly invested and it's too late to start something else.

Forgiving 2 songs based on one heart touching line.

Wild Bill is excellent.
It's my birthday so I opened a good bottle of wine and made the family watch Cats. Fuck me it's bad. Laugh out loud shockingly awful.
Very much enjoyed my evening. -

was about to cancel* Mubi because I don’t have the brains/patience for most of it, then Touchez Pas Au Grisbi turned up at the right time: Not exactly a caper, but light on its feet. Plenty of smoking and slapped faces. Jean Gabin.
*accidentally stumbled into Darren Aronofsky’s The Fountain, I mean, f f ssssake.

the first few minutes felt like it was going to be an adhd fuelled nightmare with how chaotic the opening was and the heavy reference to old memes, but settled into a pretty entertaining family movie.

Watching Nomadland.
Frances McDormand is a bit good, isn't she? -
• #17770
I think she's great. Three Billboards.. is another excellent example.

Was pretty bleak but good watch, she was great!
Still think The Father should've got the plastic statue, so uncomfortable and close to home for many -

As is North Country.

That's tonight sorted, not sure how this skipped me by until now. Ta.

The Father made me feel like I had dementia. Fucking mental that film. Good but in a head fuck kind of way.

I could watch her read the phone book.
Did you watch Olive Kitteridge. She's particularly good in that
Wild Bill - Eastender wants to go straight.
A real gem.
