  • Zahhak would eat it for breakfast...if you can get one.

  • That looks like something from Alien vs Predator :D

  • Sand Vipers are great, can handle lots of power due to having a fairly robust gearbox, absolute blast to drive, not overly expensive to buy and repair.
Whatever you get, replace the kit plastic bushings with steel bearings (gearbox and wheels) it makes a huge difference.
Hornets and Grasshoppers are great, but a bit boingy, summat with oil dampers will handle better.
And as ever, once you've bought the kit, that will certainly not be the end of your spending, welcome to upgrade heaven.

  • My (far from stock) Sand Viper.

  • That looks very stealthy - luv it! Am I right in thinking that a Holiday Buggy she'll will fit on a viper chassis with little (or none?) modifications?

Also, what would I expect to pay for a sorted viper in 'full MS' spec?

  • Been thinking about a new build, I think a lairy TT02 with a 6R4 body shell might be just the ticket (would probably try and do a Rothmans paint scheme)

  • I kinda want an XV01

  • One of my bros has the Martini Focus and the other has the Toms Supra.

The fun we used to have...

  • I've started to look at 4wd... and beginning to regret it already. i.e. I couldn't decide which 2wd buggy - and now I've doubled my undecisiveness LOL!!

  • I kinda want an XV01

I liked the Asterion, racing pick up style one, but hard to find.

Fancy doing a TT02 and hopping up All The Things™, throwing 3s and rapid brushless.
2022 forum race meet I will be ready for it!

That Matteo does have a knack for making all Tamiya's look/perform amazingly! Maybe somebody should setup a channel showing the inverse - ie how bad particular models are :)

I'd never seen an Asterion before - reminds me of the Brat :)

  • New boots fo teh Draygan.

  • If anyone sees a TT02-SR in stock, let me know pls.

  • Aye. Just realised the rears are on the front.

    Still.

  • All change here now that the 1/16 scale scene appears to be mostly dead.

Gonna grab a Tamiya truck for indoor racing and hoping to buy back the one I sold last year for outdoor tracks

  • Got my DB01 and DN01 out for a quick bash today with kiddo - both were goooooood

  • @Howard @jontea long shot on either of you having a DT02 ball diff of a set of alloy shocks you wanna move on?

  • How very dare you! Ball diffs! BDAD.
    Sorry, no on both counts.

  • I do have some TRF aeration dampers I've been hoarding

I was going to put them on the DN01 truck I never made : /

  • :) gotta have that tuning option for the truck racing this year!

  • Very silly.
