Cheapest route to Win 10 is buying an old Win 7 key off eBay or similar and then upgrading it for free to Win 10.
I updated my daughter's laptop from Win 7 to Win 10 a few weeks ago so the method still works even though MSFT don't really advertise that it's still possible.

I always used to use Software Geeks, and had great success with them - a quick scout suggests that they may now be part of unitysoft - see header on homepage. Link to Windows keys here

Cheers Aggi and Ecto, will probably use the trial version for the moment as it's just for running certain free programs which don't run on Mac
