It doesn't say if Kwasi Kwarteng is vegan himself, but government endorsement isn't a bad thing:

Mind you, as per the 'for people, animals, and the environment' slogan that the Vegan Society used for a while, the environment is very much the third priority in that. (I was glad to see that Vanessa Hudson et al. are using the slogan as part of the Animal Welfare Party's campaign in London.)
