  • @Heldring if it ain't Dutch, ... bla bla :D

    Update on the other projects:

The DSC is fully complete for a while, up until now I did some 800 km with the bike and I really enjoy it. However the Time frame in my opinion is even better so I was about to swap the groupset from the DSC to the Time. And at the same time restore the Time frame, especially the bad painted lugs and ad some nice details. But it turns out restoring the frame is quite expensive, even more $$ than repainting the whole frame, something i don't want to do. So for now I'll be riding the DSC untill i've sorted out what exactly to do with the Time frame

  • And the Diamant Titanium, bought this bike way back (2013), completely stripped it and rebuilded it with new(er) parts, according Strava i've covered 17k km with this frame set.

At the moment it's mostly stripped, the idea is to restore an old 11-s Record groupset i have and to put it on the bike, but i'm in no hurry :)

  • And last project for now: a Giant Revive i'm turning into a speed pedelec ;) It's already working, next up is to take the cables out of sight and maybe paint or plastidip the whole thing black. Oh and it needs better brakes :D

  • Now we're talking.

  • The other bikes are prachtig but this is something else.

  • No way! That's gangsta. Did you do the conversion yourself? Was it easy / any good resources you care to share?

Re: the Time, just ride it until the frame dies?

  • thanks!

@Heldring yes it was quite easy, most important bit is the bottom bracket part of the bike and this would fit perfectly. I used some blind rivet nuts to mount the battery frame onto the frame and I had to purchase a Lekkie bling ring for the correct chain line. And use the dremel on the chain guard

  • Incredible and I am only here for this bike.

  • thanks!

The revive project is on hold for now, last year I became a father and now my wife really wants an e-bike too. For that I'm going to use the Bafang motor of the revive and I ordered a new rack+battery to put on her Batavus.

Postage of the new battery takes ages, I needed some new projects while waiting so yesterday I bought two bikes. A Gazelle Giro just to make so money with and this cheap peugeot 'mtb'

  • Dissapointing update:(

  • Dad issues, practical > hobbies ;)

    Some more pictures

  • And the Peugeot came with a new chain and cassette, downside is the rear shock is completely gone so I have to find a replacement for that

  • Normally I don't like these kind of semi-retro MTBs, but this Pug is rad. Gazelle is ook mooi. :)

  • The Peugeot is awesome. Reminds me of the Giant ATX.

  • thanks!

finally this week the battery + rack arrived, so i made a quick start with the ebike conversion of the Quip

The rack fits perfectly, I just have to make a custom support to attach it to the rear fork, hopefully this week I can arrange something at work. Off she goes:

I've also ordered a new 38T chainring for the Bafang so I don't need a new chain and I can refit the chainguard in a sort of way

and I bought another rear shock for the Peugeot with wrong dimensions but I'll modify this at work (hopefully this week too).

  • The rack support is finished (welded by my colleague)

And I modified the rear shock bushes/axes

  • The Gazelle Giro is finished and ready for sale, I changed the tires, bartape (went the cheap way with Deda Traforato, worst tape ever), new stem and chain and gave it a good clean :)

And she'll be sold like this with the Shimano rims and original saddle

  • Looks good! Especially with the first wheelset.
I would move the levers up and rotate the bars down a bit though.

  • Hah oof never knew that was a thing, too bad my English isn't that good :')

And I only recognized the wrong bar position when i was taking the pictures, but it might need a new bar tape anyways. Thanks for the advice!

  • No worries!
Whats the plan for the Peugeot?

  • lovely - what size is it?

  • :) no real serious plans for the Peugeot beside maintenance and a good clean. Got it for an ok price (I think?75€ with new chain and cassette) with the idea my wife could use it once in a while but she doesn't like the rear suspension which I can understand tbh

I might have bought a horrible repainted Alpinestars with some plastic 9-spoke wheels so these could end up in this bike

  • thanks! 58 c-t
