Additionally, if anyone passing is interested I have this custom wizard works basket bag and wald I’d be willing to part with, it’s black grey, I think I’d prefer the rackless version with my current bikes and it has remained unused for months

Used handful of times last summer, comes with the wald and a good bungee net, yellow is marked inside as is normal with these sorts of bags, I use the matching bottle bag all the time just not so much this

Hope the bag finds a good home with spotters gf, and hopefully gets a lot more use than I gave it!

plan is now to have @Tijmen make a frame bag and matching rackless solution, which is exciting, he makes some very nice bags. Thinking a Olivey grey in heavy cordura if his new Japanese sewing machine can hack it. A real test of my belief in Japanese manufacturing to deliver it seems.

On another note, a lethargic day really, cleared out the shed post last weeks clear out, tore myself away from watching the European rainbow six pro league some how to head down the park for a golden hour or two

Feels nice to hop on something like this after riding the burly bike all last week or so, it’s hardly the sportiest thing but in comparison, the weight and position makes just enough of a difference to stifle any thought of a snappier bike, and not really miss my bowmans now it’s nice bike weather.

Good to feel good about ones bike options, definitely a n=2 kinda girl for now!

just so we're clear i was never a tyre denier, but i am glad i was bullied into switching the tyres, the rolling speed on tarmac is much nicer and noticeable when accelerating, even if the weight isn't all that different.

was quite late to swinley today, yet again more flopping about with general hybrid of covid induced agoraphobia and "my-bike-has-clunky-gears-so-is-unridable-itus", but i'm glad i did in the end.

i decided to explore the hut hill side of the forest, and it was fab. a very pretty scene, not just this view of berkshire, but the trees are taller and the trails are quiet. it's quite funny how in just 5-8 square miles of forest the landscape changes so radically, the west end is a tall oregonian forest experience, the east is a new mexico arrid desert with low lying vegetation.

all this combined with a good playlist of emo-rap and queer electronica it was quite a good time. completed the package of riding my cute bike in a cute outfit to a nice sound track, a wonderful escape from wider life.

I kept folding over xpac until it was too thick too fold and it just didn’t care. Must have been 16 layers, don’t think the cordura is going to be an issue.
