I do like an eccentric dropout

That looks right. Very right.

Though I think I've seen an eccentric insert used in that Syntace dropout to fine tune chain tension before
The eccentric inserts are to take up difference in chainstay length no? Wouldn’t think there’d be enough throw in one to do chain tension.

I believe so. Maybe I'm confusing them with something else I've seen

Aye magic ratio then. Looks sharp though.

Not the first maybe, but the second looks very capable.
You know how we can prove or disprove this?
You need to try it....

I think Syntace eccentric inserts allow you to align the rear wheel with the frame after welding. They come in o,5mm and 1mm increments and you place them on drive side to get rear wheel perfectly centered on the rear triangle in case there has been some distorsion when welding dropouts. Definitely not chain tensioning.

I don't like it but on a bike that crazy I'll make an exception.

Nice to see it built up, is that around the south downs way?

Just won this Kona unit on eBay. Well, my offer was accepted but the seller isn’t responding to my messages about picking it up.
Hopefully I’ll be back in the ssmtb game soon though.

There are CAD animations of this thing going over mixer terrain to show the suspension action, it's pretty wild.

Picked up the Unit today.
Hubs and headset a bit loose. Nothing to worry about really. Might rebuild the rear wheel with a nicer hub anyway.
Changed the bars but not really sure about them. Is there a flat/riser bars thread?

Hey all, I need to replace the bottom bracket on my 2016 Charge Cooker, it's a Powerspline 73x118mm which seems to be out of stock everywhere. I'd quite like to ride the bike this summer, can anyone suggest an alternative BB + crankset that are not too costly, or maybe have something they want to offload? Mtb standards are properly confusing me, I think I need a 51mm chainline but could I in theory use a 1x10/1x11 crankset and ring? Or would I need to switch the chainring to a ss?
Magic gear, as far as I can see here
