Pretty sure that's a Lytaloy headset.
The bike pretty much seems to match La Quelda's Holdsworth specs from the 48-50s catalogues.

With Allez chainset which was an extra, headset is Lytaloy, etc...

100% that's a Lytaloy headset.

Yeah it probably also has CL lamp bracket and most or all the parts you see in the catalogue.

That gold paint work and red/green pin stripping looks like it will come up as new.
Very nice double fork crown as well.

Yo vintage enthusiasts!
On the way back from dropping kids at nursery today I found a Witcomb frame in a skip, very rusted, and almost perfectly my size (ST 59.5 ctc / TT 57 etc)
I had a Witcomb before, and am nearly tempted by the adventure but I've got another project on the go, hardly any time in general, so if someone wants it, it's yours...
Not sure if @Jingle_Jangle still has a soft spot for Witcombs these days?
Anyway, I haven't looked that thoroughly, maybe the rust is too much (and seatpost probably seized - though it looks like a steel seat pin, maybe that helps)

Breaking (lunch break) news... Went into the garage for 5 minutes, seatpost isn't stuck!

Did a quick exploratory wire brushing on the worst areas of rust (chain stays) and it might not be too too deep/bad...

Gah, if only that was a bit smaller. What a lovely find. Btw, how tall are you? Just thinking if this might work, usually go for 58...

I'm 1m87 (approx. 6'1"). The 57cm top tube's perfect for me, a taller seat tube (61cm) would be better.
Plus older geo work best with less seatpost showing...

As I suspected, far too mighty for me! Sadface. Would have been a good Summer project.

Probably wouldn't get round to it till later in the year August/September but this is my size and I'd be happy to take on the renovation if you don't have someone else more keen!
