I am thinking if I can resolder the feet it should work
You should also aim to resolder the outermost two of the five pins (negative and positive) or it likely won't work well enough. You should get away with simply applying just enough heat to melt the solder.
The other thing you could do is cut the plug off the USB cable and solder the wire directly to the board. The two flat gold pads just above the socket in your photo are negative (left) and positive (right). Connect the black (negative) and red (positive) wires to these points and it should charge.

It’s reassuring to know we could build a reasonably advanced society from scratch with just the lufguss hive mind.

As long as it's one built on foundations of correct grammar and soldering technique

And toilet etiquette.

All standing wipers are to be exiled
-
• #107784
What do the sitting wipers do when they have to use a public toilet?
-
• #107785
I avoid pooping anywhere but home or the office at all costs.
Edit: unnecessary question about seated peeing

Howsabout hotels and festival toilets?
I suppose those things could be avoided if you were diligent.I should probably take this to the relevant thread.

You’re gonna raise a lot of eyebrows here...

I have a squeak in my rear wheel that I can’t locate or fix. It occurs when the wheel is rotating with and without the freewheel engaged and only when the bike is being ridden. The sound increases in frequency with acceleration of the wheel. It doesn’t occur with the bike in the stand.
So far I have:
- Confirmed that no part of the tyre or wheel are rubbing on the frame or brake anywhere.
- Regreased the QR
- Regreased the hub bearings and axle
- Lubed the hub seals
The hub is an Easton R4.
Does anyone have an idea what it could be?

I am now standing waiting for an ubahn because the ticking sound of my front wheel was the spokes slowly loosening leaving me now with an unstable wheel and me wanting to save my teeth on the way home.
I tried the same when my wheel was hanging, no ticking. I believe it's because the spokes are under much more tension when ridden hence the ticks only occuring then. -
• #107794
It’s not that ticking sound a loose nipple can make, I know that sound; it’s definitely a high pitched squeak. Spoke tension is good. Best of luck on the ubahn.

Freehub bearing?
-
• #107796
The sound is the same with or without the freehub engaged and doesn’t change during engagement. Also the freehub bearings were changed about four weeks ago. I’ve removed the cassette and freehub and can’t see where anything could be rubbing to cause the friction that would make that sound.
-
• #107797
If spoke tension is good, fair enough. Otherwise I might suggest the rubbing between spokes where they cross, although that's more of a "creak" than a "squeak".
Beats me 🤷🏽♂️ -
• #107798
Not a creak either. It’s very, very odd. Can’t place it at all.

I’ve had similar after washing a bike once, inexplicable squeaking when ridden, previously perfectly functioning Novatec sealed bearing hub.
Turned out to be the hub seals that had dried out after being washed and were causing friction. Slipped a bit of thin chain lube in between the end cap, all good since.

Do you hover over the public toilet to shit? I have tried that after coming up on pills in a nightclub toilet, didn't go well.
