Grabbed another of these. Not sure when I’m going to get stuck into it. Maybe once I can enjoy with someone who’ll appreciate it.

No matter what I go in for, I never leave a supermarket without doing a quick fly-by of the whisky. Good buy!
Went for some Powers Gold after seeing that it has suddenly appeared in the UK. They've made it stronger at 43.2%, so warrants a drop of water. Good St. Patrick's day tipple.

Finally some sensible regulation coming into the world of Japanese whisky, shame it's only voluntary but at least its a start and all the major distilleries have signed up. The fact that the biggest online retailer is reclassifying all Japanese whisky is a pretty big deal.

Just so long as you know. I've never tried the stuff. Sounds like a bit of a gimmick whisky but if you buy me a bottle I won't knock it back. I mean, I will knock it back, I won't send it back...

"Knock it back" - reject but also imbibe. I love English.

Hudson? Its quite a big name, still small distillery in upstate NY. I am a huge fan of their Rye.
-
• #3798
Is it? I'd argue that Jim Beam is a big name and Hudson is some kind of NKOTB hipster brand judging by appearances alone. How long have they been around?
-
• #3799
I've seen Hudson in bars and supermarkets (Sainsburys perhaps?).
Not tried it though. -

I believe they initially wanted to set up a rock climbing facility but couldn’t get the right permits... but could get the permits for a distillery.
Woodford rye, or regular?
