Short 'design' conversation over port / cheese with the head of JLR, it turns up at Windsor 6 months later?
(I do quite like it though)

And why not. It's the sort of shit I'd do if i was a massively rich layabout who lived in multiple castles.
If anything it shows a bit of a lack of ambition. I'm thinking a hovercraft version. Or half-track. -

Popbitch this week:
The drawback of dedicating your life to the service of a country like
the United Kingdom is that, once you've carked it, its libel laws
absolutely hang you out to dry. Still, now there's less chance of the
Royal lawyers getting mad at us for asking, maybe we'll get to find
out if there was ever any truth to the many crazy rumours that
circulated about Phil over the years. The rumours that he was the real dad of Valerie Singleton, for
instance. Or the real dad of Helen Mirren. Or that he once had an
affair with Joanna Lumley. Or that he was the naked waiter tending at
Stephen Ward's Profumo Scandal sex parties. The one we're most curious to know the truth behind though is the
rumour that went around the set of The Crown a few years ago. The one
suggesting that the reason its writer, Peter Morgan, is so obsessed
with the Royals is because Philip once had an affair with his mum.FYI: The Lumley rumour once made its way into a joke in an episode of
Ab Fab (S5E3) where Eddie and Patsy are killing time in a panic room
and Patsy admits to having shagged Brad Pitt, Hugh Grant and Prince

Sounds like he was painstaking about it, for 16 years. However due to Covid it will now only drive him a few miles rather than the 30 it was designed to do. What use there is for it after I don't know.

Maybe I was disparaging about his efforts, I didn't intend to sound too mean. I'll grudgingly admit that I actually think it's quite a stylish effort for what it is.
However, as mentioned above, quite how it would need 16 years of designing. It's one off, granted, but isn't it not much more than a (presumably impeccably finished) elongated Land Rover with a bit of a flat bed? It does sound like an effort to burnish his reputation as a tinkerer / inventor.

She's been vaccinated and they wouldn't let anyone near her who's tested positive so I wonder why she was sat all alone. That's going to be the front page of tomorrow's papers and I think it may be manipulation.
