Sounds like FDM is your thing then.
FDM is good for larger more durable parts like brackets, cases etc. SLA is for delicate detailed small parts.
FDM/filament is odourless if you stick to PLA and PETG. ABS smells and is tough to print on cheap printers anyway.

Look at the Anycubic Mega. I've got a mega S. I've modded it a fair bit but it was very capable out of the box.

The gnome army is partly a joke. Guy I know has a Creality or some such. I just don’t want to buy a machine that wastes more than it makes.
Ideally I’ll make small parts and adapters for the bike. For example the satnav/phone holder for the motorbike.
I’d be sharing it with mum, apparently resin isn’t suitable for her. Filament rather than resin, any difference in smell/nose pollution?
