Are matching guards now a thing?

This is my effort.... it's the first dedicated winter road bike I've ever owned. Probably not everyone's cup of tea but I'm very happy with it.
In my (limited) experience, geometry / handling and tyres are main things to get right. This bike feels a lot safer than my normal road bike for having slightly more relaxed angles, a slightly longer wheelbase and 28mm tyres.
I've also been very grateful for the dynamo.... and walkable, double-sided mtb shoes!

ok, yeah I like the colour, didn't realise you would be able to see it clear from a distance like that.

As spring approaches, seems to make sense to post this up - Burls, Kenesis fork, Rival 10 speed, Open Pro on 105. 28c and mudguards fitted, without the latter easily takes 32c (welcome on Herefordshire back roads ie all roads in the county)

That’s sorted. I’d happily do a winter on that.

Please read the thread. Not my bike.

And even so, the saddle is clamped in the middle of the rails. You would have to move it forward for an inline

Nice! Do you know if the wheels spin? Looks tight with the pdw/tyre combo!

yeah, it's snug but works perfectly. I had to fit 23s because of the fork crown but other than not enjoying that on some rougher roads it's been fine all winter

Disassembled, cleaned and polished my winter bike in early February.
Must get on with building it back up before I lose all the parts.
