  • Not sure its quite conductive to good recovery... but hey ho. Not the riding bit, the long travel.

  • Even if he traveled in the team bus, rather than cramped up in the passenger seat of the team car, it does seem like quite a lot of hours of travelling to do right after a big effort at the end of a week long race.

    Maybe they broke the journey up and did part last night and part this morning, but even so, still a good amount of time travelling.

    Edit - looks like it is the autoroute almost the whole way. Perhaps 3 and a half hours. If done in two parts by team bus, perhaps not too damaging. Sometimes transfers between stages in the tour are over an hour (I presume?)

  • His next race is Amstel, a week today.

    He's only raced Paris-Nice and Pays Basque so far this season. After Liege he's not set to race again until the Dauphine.
