Back on this. Thinking about a cull soon and getting a bb58 as a one and only. But what colour? 🤷🏻‍♂️

IMHO, 39mm is the perfect classic dive watch sizes.

Desk diver for you maybe... a real divers should be LARGE and LEGIBLE- @Aroogah? Thoughts on true divers?

Back when they were actually tools for diving, 39mm was a very big watch. 36mm was considered a large man’s size and 34 mid-sized.

Nowadays you can take your pick of >44mm divers if that’s what you want. Planet Ocean, Tunas, Turtles, Deepsea, Doxa Sub 1500T, Squale 2002 etc.

Can’t really grumble about a retro super compressor type design being made at a retro size. There’s a pretty good choice at all price points these days.

The design of the Speedmaster chronograph hand is best appreciated when it’s not sat at 12, still my favourite watch.

Today's strap is a stretchy Nato, I like it, very comfy.

I'm only wearing the Seiko Regatta at the moment. Having two bezels is surprisingly useful and it's keeping excellent time considering it's over 50 years old.

Single/double push date/day adjust is much better than the multi-stepped crown on my 7S26 diver.

That’s nice. Think I am leaning more towards the gilt bb58 at the moment

Another new strap - cheap eBay Perlon. Really liking it tbh, feels like it matches the dial nicely.

October 1971 manufacture (I think). Bracelet isn't original, it's a 6119-6053, not the earlier 6119-6050. But perhaps they made the 6053 in the 80s too?
