no real action this week, they got a water pump and some more wood chip, way to go before the embargo lifts
@jontea i was a bit disappointed by this too tbh but i am assured there is a fruit crumble in the works any day now
@TheConCon666 thank you!

The pinnacle of baked goods, fruit crumble is the best.

It’s something alright.
Not my cup of fish but MV does what he does well.
You pleased? -
• #456
Are you sure the fork has enough mounting points? I think there is still some space left.
Crazy frame. Who painted this?
-
• #457
Wow! In a good way.... I think.

Oof! That is totally fab and very unique. Well done to you and MV. Love the design and the colour.
(Loving the "view from Pips seat updates" as well, was a favorite place for me and the dog to both say hi to the passing world when we used to bimble round Swinners)

over the moon,
i think it's perfect for the sort of riding i enjoy, at least at this point in my life.
it has been really great to have a builder who has a similar enthusiasm for bike design which is a little less conventional and deeply within the realm of "well why not?"

mv himself!
it's spray paint for the base, the drip is tinned paint
montanna matte plum with montanna red glitter over the top, paired with a good 2 layer primer has done an excellent job, very well done by him!

That shit is bananas.

Can run the frame and fork without mount bolts for race day weight savings. It looks top fun.

Chuffineck !!
-
• #465
The fork is a bit Trypophobic for me but the frame build & paint job is ace.
-
• #466
awesome looks like a laugh, paint is excellent
Braze ons are my least favourite part of framebuilding so this frame gives me chills.
-
• #467
Love the paintjob and looking forward to seeing it dressed in an equally esoteric assortment of parts!
-
• #468
This is all kinds of awsome!
-
• #469
Looks great. Really like the paint.
Seems the two top-tubes aren't consistently far enough apart for a whole run of cans though? Oversight -

the clear work around here is having a compartmentalised bag over both sections, a top slimmer, bag for crisps, nuts and skittles, a bottom, larger bag for a 12 pack.
small camping stool on the fork mounts
-
• #471
Bolt-on camping stool/kickstand seems like a logical progression!

The sight of that fork made me quite literally laugh out loud on an otherwise pretty glum Tuesday morning, so I thank you for that.
This looks like the bike equivalent of the person you see at a music festival, dancing on their own at the back of the crowd, eyes closed, big grin, really feeling the music. Outwardly all the normies give this individual a wide berth, but inside you know they're thinking they wish they were that free to break free from society's norms.
"You do you" rendered in exquisite steel. Look forward to seeing the full build.

mv better be patenting the "sprout fork" trademark before some zany trust fund backed Californian comes swooping in
@tb they'll never let me back into E1 if they think i'm a hippy, are you saying i should repaint it?!??!
@MisterMikkel i have actually been looking for various objects i can bolt onto the fork which are not bags so you're not far off

Thoroughly entranced, felt as if I was in the forest myself. 10/10
