We'll need some kind of demilitarised zone.
Watford Gap seems to be a common DMZ line.
Or the Greggs Map.

That’s putting Sheffield and Coventry in the south?
It’s also not showing Danzig style intrusions like Harrogate. -
• #11004
Coventry can be South, Sheffield certainly can't.

Do the countries finest suppliers of pastry vectors for trans fats and minced willies clits and bums not have shops north of the yellow line?

I’ve got a mate in Middlesbrough who swears everything south of York is basically cockney...

• #11007
Accent based they're probably not far wrong if their baseline is Middlesbrough..

Are you saying we all sound the same?

Draw an East West line across Camden and Islington and there's the Northern border.
-
• #11010
To someone who's accent is so far gone it's Middlesbrough, probably.

Less than 25,000 persons per Greggs is what determines the line. Plenty T'North of the line. Less so Sarf.
Have you ever been to a Greggs? They do Vegan but I'd stick with the sausage rolls. The V Steak Bake is disappointing.
Sheffield is a bit weird though. How have they managed to not get Gregg'ed yet?

Yes, have been a few times to see if I could understand what all the fuss is about. It’s all a bit meh.

You need to be hungover really, and it's meh you can get cheaply and easily pretty much anywhere.

There's still like 7 in the town centre.

Loved that place. The one by centrepoint was a regular stop when I was pedicabbing in Soho in the 90s

In York there was a bakery on every street, almost as many as pubs. I grew up eating 3 sausage rolls for £1.

But York has York Roast Co. the place where you get Yorkshire Pudding Wraps!
And possibly the best pub crawl within a city wall?

Greggs is sort of pricey now.

Pft, tourist bait.

Although it's not that 'Sheffield' is a bit weird, more that they are just the other side of the border is a bit weird.
Well there was a TV show all about it.
Although the Whippet was a bit more 'wolfy'.
