  • Last “long” run done, with 10k easy and 10k marathon pace done and dusted, unsurprisingly felt pretty comfortable despite a hilly route and no hyper shoes,

weather forecast is looking a bit meh for next Saturday with 10 degrees and 10mph winds, which in a socially distanced race could make it a bit of struggle into the wind, temp should be good though!

weirdly looking forward to a trip to dorney lake as it’s been shut for about 6 weeks abs have missed running round it!

  • Nice effort! Fingers crossed for the wind, I don't think I'd fancy a Dorney marathon if it gets much into double figures. (Mixed memories of a duathlon there many years ago.)

I'm beginning to get mildly excited about racing again. There's a good chance the next race I enter will be the North Downs Run (30k) in June (incorporating British Masters' multi-terrain championships). Not sure if it's COVID related but they've just announced a new route starting/finishing at the Gravesend Cyclopark, but using most of the old course so should still be a nice scenic and hilly race.
