  • GCN+ feed seems to have become Eurosport feed after dropping out for a bit.

  • I’m not sure I quite understand what Adam Blythe is saying about the lead group having the whole of the road, whereas the peloton can only use half of the road. Anyone?

  • oof, bennett whitey-ing

edit: sorry, forgot to add some #insight: he must have gone really hard

  • How is Bennett still hanging on?

  • He isnt

  • In this house there is only one.

  • WVA on the post race coconut water ? no respect for the sport's traditions #tinycola

  • LOL at Trentin dismissing some ADSA-questioning in the post-race. Like him.

  • Oooof - naughty (and senseless) stuff from Bouhanni at Cholet Pay de la Loire. Stewart could have been hurt there.

  • Christ that's bad.

  • Just saw it on Eurosport. WAC

  • But, great barriers.

  • Credit where it’s due

  • I don't think he is a C but he does seem prone to hotheadedness. Why can't he save that sort of thing for Quinn Simmons or Moscon?

  • It’s so overt though. I can’t see anything it would be in reaction to either. He leans into empty space between them on the right hand side. Then his lead out comes across and in front of Stewart right to left and there’s a little bit as Bouhanni fights to keep the wheel. Then as Stewart is about to come up the left side with plenty of space Bouhanni swerves right into him to the point of stopping pedalling, because of what? Frustration that his own lead out man is slower than Viviani? I get it’s a properly charged environment but he damages his own chance of winning in order to put Stewart into the barriers.

  • I think he's just one of those red-mist types, gets into it and everything is on the table. He's supposedly a nice bloke but I guess if you're one of the people he punches or causes a crash with, it doesn't really matter if he's nice to his mum.

  • Nobody was coming round Viviani at that point and I think maybe Bouhanni reacted out of frustration that Jake Stewart was better placed than him in the battle for second.

Edit: this is a better video. Does Stewart lean on Bouhanni a bit at the very start? In which case, it's a bit more understandable.

  • That’s the second incident I listed, Bouhanni had already given Stewart some and I’d say he comes in with the elbow a bit there.

  • No. What you see is at the start Bouhani not on his teammate wheel and trying to push jake off.

  • There’s a moment at the very beginning where Stew’s shoulder touches Bouh’s elbow to create a little speed wobble. At the beginning of a sprint with an elevated heart rate, I can imagine that could trigger all sorts of fight-or-flight reactions.

  • Thomas De Gendt deserves a mention. Everyone knows he's going to try and do it and he still succeeds. He's really an amazing rider.

  • I don't think it's that bad. Bouhanni gets baulked by his own leadout man, and has to slow and go left to get around his back wheel, as he comes across he bumps Stewart and is knocked slightly off balance, and leans into him. Definitely a disqualification but I've seen much worse.
