nice work though dude. i very rarely play rapid games as can never guarantee not being interupted by something - 8 is impressive streak

@mashton That's what I play. Good practice. 8 game streak is my record, and I've played 234 games apparently. I had a an horrific losing streak recently (lost 8 in 10).

You get used to the time thing, I learned not to rush at the start, but equally don't let yourself go too far down on your opponents time mid-game. If you can get a time advantage in the last few mins, you can still often win games that you're not winning on paper if that makes sense.

Always lose when I'm tired.

i just checked my Rapid record. I have never lost. Rapid retirement beckons.

Nine game streak now. I just crushed a guy with a Danish gambit variant.

Yeah, I dirty flagged my opponent in one of the games. I was playing literally random king moves at the end. But I had 2 minutes in hand, so....

oow thanks mate. That was a tight one. When you moved your queen to A8 I thought i'd lost the edge and it was wide open again and you'd just break down my pawn bishop line. Then instead of taking the hanging pawn, you moved your queen to h8 (probably missing that is was protected by my bishop on the far side?). And that did you in.

i didn't mean to move the queen to A8. was toying with A7 then had a slip of the browser tbh. I had decided not to break into your pawns either though had considered it. i was a piece down anyway so the game was lost anyway. was a good game though really enjoyed it

edit. no the A8 was meant. it was moving from their to H8, when I meant G8. sorry for confusion. but yeah maybe from A8 I should have started trying to break your pawns open

You were a pawn down, but i tried playing through the scenario whereby you'd take my pawn and it didn't look great from my perspective. I'm always nervous when your opponents queen is still roaming around in the latter stages. Too much scope for error.

nah you just nailed it dude. think when you took my Rook you were ready to just press home your pawn advantage. and there was no way back for me.

my only real mistake was not taking your bishop with my knight around the midgame. I conceded a little at that point. but you had already earned the pawn advantage so was yours to lose. was kinda tight but you were always on top from there.

i never got a chance to launch the attack I wanted on your King because my own bloody King was getting chased around. i have a had a word with the lad. you know what these Kings are like. absolutely useless bastards

Cheers- actually thought it was looking pretty bad for me until that last combination of moves. Didn't like the look of that chain of 4 pawns.
