  • If you it large fans at the end of each tunnel you could have a permanent tailwind

  • make some little trolleys with sails and you could have an upscaled version of a pneumatic tube

  • To be fair, this cunt is so thick he’d probably advocate making all roads one way in both directions. Don’t make clever suggestions he may just try to implement them.

  • Dr Gammons and his improbable teeth are Canon University alumni. You can get a doctorate from Canon University in two weeks if you swot:

  • Also, his Twitter profile picture still has the photographers watermark on it.

  • If you linked your little trolleys together only the person at the front would have to pay attention. The rest could just read the Metro, clutch cups of coffee as though the caffeine could jumpstart their miserable lives and look suicidly depressed.

  • Maybe TFL could employ a person to drive the front of the little trolley line through the tunnels so that everyone else can look at their phones while they wait to arrive at the destination.
They could even charge a fee for the service and perhaps you'd be able to buy season passes or use some sort of contactless top up card

  • They could call it The London Subterranea. It might get affectionately called "The Tunnels".

  • Now it's just getting ridiculous, tunnels will never catch on

  • They could even charge a fee for the service and perhaps you'd be able to buy season passes or use some sort of contactless top up card

make it something frivolous and fun sounding, like squids because you put quids on it and london is practically by the sea if you don't count essex.

  • You are right leaving public transport planning to a group like us who don’t really use it is stupid.

  • At this point, I reckon you could have 1,000 different policies, all opposing in some way, but as long as you only target the segment that each policy appeals to with that advertising campaign, you could win.

How many people are actually reading through a complete list of campaign material and policy ideas?

If you're going down the populist route, just appeal to the entire population individually.

  • You are right leaving public transport planning to a group like us who don’t really use it is stupid.

I think that is making assumptions about the people posting here. For example you might think I cycle but Strava says 40km this year which hardly counts.

  • If you're going down the populist route, just appeal to the entire population individually.

But for that you would need a bunch of targeted ads on social media which would be impossible.

  • Lozza Fox's manifesto is more statues and fewer LTNs. That seems to be it. Oh and no Black History lessons.

  • I was walking behind a woman recently and overheard her talking on the phone:

'How is a rich white guy standing for Mayor "shaking things up?"' (repeat)

'He's just a right-wing, bigoted white guy and he's not "shaking things up", and it's not funny, Dad!'

  • Imagine having Chris Evans as your least-embarrassing ex-husband.

  • London Mayoral Voting Intention:

    Khan (LAB): 53% (+9)

    Bailey (CON): 28% (-7)

    Porritt (LDM): 7% (+2)

    Berry (GRN): 7% (+1)

    Gammons (UKIP): 2% (-2)

    Reid (WEP): 1% (-1)

  • Surprised the Greens are doing so poorly. I'd have thought they'd have got a lot of first round votes.

Rumours that the Conservatives have tacitly accepted they won't win and have cut back the funding significantly.

  • Bailey wrote a "paper" about youth violence that has to be seen to be believed. It's the one where he wrote that "Good-looking girls tend to have been around".

  • It's the one where he wrote that "Good-looking girls tend to have been around"

    Interesting. https://www.cps.org.uk/files/reports/original/111028105425-NoMansLand.pdf

    Another quote from that

Everyone talks about more policemen. Absolutely useless. Anybody who knows anything about criminals will realise that they are not concerned with the police, they never have been and they never will be. The only way to cut crime or anti-social behaviour is to change people’s attitudes

and yet his #1 policy is

Making our streets safer — by hiring 8,000 more police and reopening 38 police stations

I wonder why he changed his mind?

  • I'm surprised they didn't try and get Rory Stewart back on board and have him stand. Kahn hasn't been particularly impressive so you'd think they could get someone to give him some competition.

  • Rory Stewart

Wasn’t he going to stand as an independent at one stage

  • I've still got a quid at 100/1 on Stewart being the next pm
