Does she go right in to the fire place in to where the grate would be??
-
• #11028
I can only think she sees that place as a safe and doesn't use the litter as it makes noise alerting other stranger(mogget after his holiday) cats to her presence. Now mogget and her are friends again it's just become a habit???

Possibly, but she was doing it when he was missing too. She's just a fickle twat.

Hendricks has acute kidney failure.
48 hours of rehydration then more blood tests. I'm hoping it was diagnosed in time but it's touch and go.
Gutted I can't be there to comfort the little guy.

The collapsible ones are good as they don’t take up a load of space when not used which is most of the time.
Also that kitten looks like trouble! Good luck ;)

We have a standard carrier that has a top hatch as well as front. Handy for keeping Fleur chilled with treats and scratches on way to vets.
She hangs out in it almost every day as well so it’s not a big deal having it in the corner of the spare room.Fingers crossed for Hendricks

Fingers crossed he'll be OK. Did they find the cause of the failure?

Awww Hendricks, get well soon!! Poor little thing. I hope the rehydration does the trick and he'll be back with you ASAP. Look after yourself too!

I have a fabric case (a bit like this) that unzips completely to make it flat, for ease of cat extraction. I crocheted Celeste a blanket for inside the case and rubbed treats all over it; however, I hope not to have to put her in the case again for some time as it's a ridiculously tough endeavour.

Does anyone's cat love coriander/cilantro? We just brought a huge bunch back from the market and our cat Ned just went bonkers... not to eat it, but just smelling it and rolling in it and playing with it. And mewing and pacing when we took it away!
As far as I can tell, it isn't poisonous or dangerous in small amounts. Given Ned doesn't take to catnip and is really fussy with food (to the point we have to import via Amazon the brand he had when we were in the UK), it is weird how much he likes it.

We have Muffy's ashes back and plan to plant something nice for him in our wee garden. It's been really really hard adjusting to not having him around.
The flat seems so quiet and empty without him. Toppy his sister has really come out of her shell, I guess I didn't fully realise just how dominant he actually was of her, and the fact she just kept out of his way.
He could be a right little arsehole to her, bullying her off her food and starting a fight so that she'd move away from her spot so he could take it.
She still spends 90% of her time upstairs asleep as ever, she's a little arthritic and hobbles around bless her.
It's still pretty raw but we have spoken about getting a kitten sometime in the future, although obviously it's a concern that Toppy won't accept it. I think I'm right in saying though that adult cats accept kittens easier than another adult cat?
. Edit just reread and saw you have changed litter.
V strange she has chosen that spot
