Not possible with any ease, the freewheel is a complete unit and should be replaced as a whole component

Thanks both, now just to convince him...
-
• #107304
Why, oh why...
-
• #107305
Yeah I know, though in my circle of non - racers nobody has busted an axle on a freewheel equipped bike.
I think he’ll come around. -
• #107306
Or were you asking about the ebike?
-
• #107307
Yes indeed...
-
• #107308
Well, since getting it he's gotten outside a lot more and was able to downgrade the insurance on his car. He had to get an extra battery because -30 C makes for a quick drain.
I'd say overall it's a win for him. -

The visual effect on Klein paint jobs, is it called ‘fade’?
-
• #107310
If you are referring to a paint effect presents as different colours depending on the direction it’s viewed from, these are usually called ‘flip’ effects.
-
• #107311
That. Thank you.

One for the programmers:
Does anyone know how to get all possible combinations of a list of strings?
Eg. if i have ["one", "two", "three"]
I would like:
"one"
"two"
"three"
"one, two"
"one, three"
"two, one"
"two, three"
"three, one"
"three, two"
"one, two, three"
"one, three, two"
"two, one, three"
"two, three, one"
"three, one, two"
"three, two, one" -

Where can I buy a well-priced box of small rubber cement tubes? I’m putting cycle themed Easter baskets together for 20 friends and family, and paying £50 just for glue is a bit dear.

A quid each here

There are loads of cheapo ones on ebay but they may not come over from China in time. -

£3 for two tubes in Halfords if you need to walk in and get it: https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-maintenance/bike-puncture-repair/halfords-essentials-rubber-adhesive-101836.html
I'd normally be on an eBay shop for stuff like this.

I would like a pair of Ritchey Neoclassics in 38cm wide, but they don't exist. Fizik R3 Snakes are out of stock nearly everywhere in 38cm. What other options do I have for modern classic curve and 38cm wide bars, suitable for racing?

Does anyone have any experience with ‘Skorpion’ bikes? My dad’s been eyeing up this folder but I can’t find a huge amount of info about them.

I know a lot of folders look the same but is that a Dahon Vitesse with different branding?
My opinion with cheap folders is what’s the cost once I’ve put my own running gear on to bring it up to acceptable spec. The Decathlon BTwin, for example, is cheap, but it’s ridiculously flimsy and there’s no way you’d ever spec it up to be anything other than a cheap, bendy bike. That Argos folder that a few people on here have built up, however, is a good looking frame with low end components and it seems like you can turn it into something good.

These aren't just combinations (where order doesn't matter) but permutations of your input set, for lengths 1 to length of input set.

I need a 32 bit laptop (running Windows 7, ideally) to check something on my car.
I'd rather not buy one off ebay for, what may be, one use. I've tried asking friends, but no luck. But maybe someone here? Anyone have one I can borrow, or buy for cheap?
Or where would be better to post this request?
-
• #107324
yeah, it's cool. I ended up having the permutations call inside a loop from 1 to the input length (like you said).
The results get scarily big very quickly!

Can you do something like run windows 7 in a virtual machine to acheive what you want??
I'm not sure which is less likely, finding a 13T which fits a TZ500 body or actually getting the 14T off in the first place - it's generally easier to break the other sprockets than it is to remove the smallest one on a used freewheel.
